Sarah Barlow
Co-opted Governor (Appointed by the Trust)

I very much enjoy being a Governor at Finch Woods Academy. As the Deputy Head at a similar school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties in Crewe I feel like I have experiences which are helpful to the governing body. I have been a Governor at the for approximately 3 years and have enjoyed seeing the school adapt to new challenges but continue to stay true to its core values and beliefs. It is a joy to visit the school and seeing the social, moral, spiritual and cultural progress of the pupils makes those late night Governors meetings all worthwhile! I take responsibility for Safeguarding in the governing body and feel I have skills in this area following extensive training.
