Finch Woods Academy is part of the Adelaide Academy Trust led by The Adelaide School. The Adelaide Academy Trust (est 2013) is a multi-academy trust dedicated to improving the educational experiences of young people and preparing them to be full and active citizens of society.
There is a focus on teaching essential life skills. The Trust is presently made up of three special schools; Adelaide School, the founding school; Finch Woods Academy; and St Johns Wood Community School. Ongoing discussions suggest that this number will rise and include our partners in mainstream education.
We believe it is important that schools retain their own character but as partners help shape the future of The Trust for the benefit of all young people. It is only by the sharing of a common vision and working together that we will continue to achieve best practice and best outcomes for all pupils.
Finch Woods Academy has been supported by the Adelaide School (OFSTED outstanding), and previously recognised as Special School of the Year, in our recent journey of improvement.
